GPM EMS can be integrated with GPM Power Plant Controller (PPC) software to ensure precise control for active and reactive power. Additional features include EMS Logic to help you comply with various grid codes worldwide, and Battery Management System (BMS) for improving operational efficiency and flexibility.

EMS Logic

Manage energy production depending on the time of day, with versatile energy management with flexible control modes including:

  • Regular BESS Dispatch Mode which ensures compliance at the Point of Interaction (POI)
  • The State of Charge (SoC) Droop Mode designed to maintain the average State of Charge of the BESS
  • The State of Charge (SoC) Target Mode at which the system will operate to achieve the desired SoC value

Customizable functionalities: Supports ancillary services and compliance with different grid support requirements in different countries.

BMS

Additional features to ensure proper maintenance and longevity of the BESS and improve the operational efficiency and flexibility of the site.

  • Adaptive BMS control modes: The BMS independently modifies active power commands for various functions and offers three distinct control options:
    • Automatic Mode for homogenizing State of Charge across subsystems
    • Manual Mode for setting individual active power setpoints
    • BESS OFF Mode for issuing STOP commands.

Scheduler and Dispatcher

Optimize the control of the plant by enabling automation of command execution for plant control and ensure the generation of active power commands based on generation forecasts.

Scheduler

Schedule commands in advance with this feature, allowing the Scheduler to automatically execute them:

  • Flexible Control: Control the BESS power plant through locally or remotely configured setpoints.
  • Automation Capability: Automated command execution via a Scheduler, which uses CSV files with predefined commands.
  • Enhanced Scheduling: Schedule up to 20 commands in advance, ensuring smooth plant operation through automatic execution.

Dispatcher

Maximizes efficiency by optimizing renewable energy use and managing BESS storage. Dispatcher adapts to changing conditions and ensures reliable, autonomous plant operations with flexible controls.
