As the trusted partner to the wind energy industry, supporting this strongly growing sector with independent assurance across the entire wind energy value chain, GreenPowerMonitor is excited to participate in WindEnergy Hamburg on 24 – 27 September in Hamburg, Germany.
In the face of global warming and geo-political pressure, providing a stable energy supply from renewable sources will play a pivotal role in accelerating the energy transition and meeting the goals of the Paris agreement: Wind energy is expected to expand 15-fold, rising from 5% of global electricity production today to 33% in 2050.
During the event, our wind energy experts will showcase the latest insights, innovations and solutions for the wind energy industry. We will also share findings from our global independent forecasts and industry research.
Come and meet us at stand 311 in hall EG-B4, or contact us if you would like to schedule a meeting.
Highlights of the event
GPM Horizon wind
One of the highlights of our participation will be the demonstration of our flagship product, GPM Horizon.
The multi-technology interface of GPM Horizon enables performance optimization through power curve analysis, constructive insights through module dashboards and customisable reports. Within the Horizon wind interface, you can also utilize a Waterfall chart, allowing you to view the variations in energy output from the initial budgeted amount to the final actual energy production, highlighting the various gains and losses.
GPM On-site solutions
- GPM SCADA – In-Plant Controller for utility-scale facilities capable of managing projects with over 1 million variables.
- GPM Hybrid PPC – Explore GPM Hybrid PPC, the latest addition to GPM on-site solutions designed to address the increased complexity of hybrid power plants, which produce power from multiple centrally controlled sources like Photovoltaic (PV) or battery energy storage systems (BESS). The Hybrid PPC architecture accounts with GPM’s Power Plant Controller (PPC) software service, ensuring grid compliance at the Point of Interconnection (POI) and managing active power by distributing it between the PV plant and BESS. Wind 2024 Take aways
The wind energy sector in Eurpe:
- Renewable energy and wind initiatives in Europe are gaining momentum, as evidenced by the significant turnout of over 12,000 attendees at the WindEurope Fair. However, the United States remains a more appealing market, primarily due to the government’s emphasis on reducing inflation.
- Our observations reveal a pressing demand among our clients, the asset owners, to enhance the efficiency of their asset management processes. With expanding portfolios and a diminishing workforce, there’s a clear need for AI-driven solutions to address this challenge effectively.
- Furthermore, there’s a growing call from clients for increased interoperability between various data-driven Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions. Seamless data exchange through well-tested and documented APIs is essential. Providers who adapt well to this demand and offer superior service stand a greater chance of establishing long-term partnerships with their clients.
- Artificial intelligence emerges as the linchpin in managing the complexities inherent in modern renewable assets. It plays a crucial role in boosting revenues, cutting costs, enhancing asset reliability, and optimizing the entire technical-commercial management and Operations and Maintenance (O&M) value chain.
- In Germany, the digital and data innovation landscape emphasizes the importance of providing measurable value when offering software to asset owners. It’s noted that the effectiveness of predictive analytics is contingent on humans with domain knowledge who can interpret results. Furthermore, the integration of machine learning and Artificial intelligence with human expertise is expected to enhance the efficiency and profitability of renewable assets.
We are boosting asset reliability with machine learning algorithms in predictive maintenance.
At GreenPowerMonitor (GPM), we’re at the forefront of driving asset reliability through the power of machine learning algorithms. Our expertise lies in harnessing the potential of predictive diagnostics, where machine learning becomes a game-changer in optimizing renewable energy assets. Through innovative approaches outlined in our recent article, “Boost Asset Reliability: Humanizing Machine Learning in Predictive Diagnostics,” we showcase how these algorithms can revolutionize asset management. By analyzing vast amounts of data, our machine learning models predict potential anomalies and issues well in advance, enabling proactive maintenance strategies that enhance asset performance and reliability. With GPM, you can trust in cutting-edge technology to maximize the potential of your renewable energy investments.
